Chapter Forty-One…

Chapter 41: Kiss and Make Up.

Warning: some of this chapter contains sexual themes, along with violence.

Once again, velvety darkness fell over Riverview.

Meanwhile, Audrey Nutter was visiting the Moore home.

Lila watched as her mother and Roger discussed a resolution to their marriage issues.

“Wow Audrey,” Roger said. “You look incredible.” His eyes nearly popped out of his head, bringing to mind a disturbing picture.

“Well, thank you.” Audrey seemed somewhat flustered and embarrassed.

“I wanted to say… I’m sorry for some of the things I said over the last few days,” she muttered.

Roger’s hands grasped hers.

“Hey, no problem dude-ette. I love you.”

They quietly gazed at one another. Lila smiled in the background.

Ah, Roger. The perpetual chubby-chaser, Lila reflected.

A while later, Lila went out on the balcony to gaze over Riverview.

Roger had packed a few of his things and left with Audrey. Lila was glad they’d kissed and made up, and glad that Roger was finally out of the house.

Nick stood behind her.

A touch of his warm breath caressed her neck. His lips soon followed.

Nick’s hands glided down her arms, and then he gently nudged her around.

Their hands joined.

“What are you doing?” Lila asked, smiling.

“You’re about to find out.”

Nick knelt down on one knee.

                                                              …

Lila gasped, as her heart stopped.

He pulled out a dazzling ring.

In her excitement, she leapt up and down like a child.

The diamond glittered like a thousand stars, just like Nick’s eyes.

He took her hand.

…and slid the ring on her finger.

Lila couldn’t breathe. So many emotions at once consumed her, suffocating her…

“Lila Elle Harris,” Nick began. “Will you marry me next April?”

“Next April?” Lila said. “Why next April?”

“Because it’ll be the second anniversary when we met at the stadium,” he replied with a grin.

“Yes, I’ll marry you Nick Moore!” Lila shouted.

                                                              …

                                                           …

They kissed their way back into the house;

then Nick slowly backed her into the guest bedroom.

                                                             …

“Why are we in here?” she asked.

“Because I’m going to do everything to you that Darius did that night; except I’m going to do it better.”

They fell onto the bed.

Nick’s lips created a trail of kisses all over her face, ending at her mouth.

With one hand, he pulled down his shorts.

“What are you doing?” Lila chuckled. “Darius never took off his clothes.”

“I told you whatever Darius did, I’m going to do it better.”

Lila’s cardigan hiked up over her hips. Nick used that opportunity to… ummm…

Lila sharply exhaled when he entered her. Then she nibbled on Nick’s shoulder.

“Did Darius ever make you feel this good?” Nick asked, breathless.

“Uh, no.”

He moved against her, working toward the ultimate goal line.

A touchdown was imminent…

Lila’s hand glided across his back, her engagement ring shimmering.

Briefly, she wondered what the next few months would bring.

Dawn signified the emergence of a new day, and a new life.

And when that day passed, several more flew by, until eight long months passed.

It was now January, only three months until Nick and Lila’s wedding.

Nick’s little girl thrived and grew into a healthy eight-month-old.

Bella squealed with delight whenever her father played with her.

                                                             …

One particular day, Lila went to eat at a restaurant. She brought Bella with her.

They sat down to eat ice cream sundaes. It was Bella’s favorite.

After an eight-month absence from Riverview, Darius ushered through the restaurant door.

He glanced at Lila.

She never saw the disgruntled look on his face.

“Hi Lila,” he said with a forced grin.

Oh my God… that sounds like Darius, she thought.

She turned to look.

“It is you. Hi Darius.” What was that uncomfortable feeling she suddenly had?

Darius strolled over and pulled out a chair.

Presumptuous, anyone?

“You look great,” she said. “So how are you? What made you decide to come back to Riverview?”

“Things didn’t work out like I planned in Sunset Valley,” he said.

“Oh; I’m sorry. What happened?”

“I met someone in Sunset Valley,” he said. “But it didn’t work out. Kayla lost another mother, and I can’t handle losing another woman.”

Lila froze.

Darius glanced at Bella. “She’s a cutie-pie,” he said.

“Yeah, she is. Thanks.”

For some reason, her heartbeat hastened.

Bella laughed when Darius made cute noises at her.

“You never really said why you came back to Riverview.”

“I didn’t? I thought I did. Well, then. I came back to ask you something.”

“Yeah? Um, guess what. Nick and I are getting married in three months,” she blurted in a desperate attempt at changing the subject. She was terrified of Darius’ question, afraid he wanted to ask her to come back to him. Again.

“And you just answered my question,” he said. His eyes were wide, cold as ice cubes.

Lila had the sudden urge to bolt from the restaurant with Bella; but she couldn’t move from her seat.

“What question was that?” Oh, shit. Why did I ask that?

“Doesn’t matter anymore.”

He scooted the chair further under the table, hiding his hands and legs. He began to fidget.

“Look, I’m really tired. We should be going now.” She nervously peered over at Bella.

She was as gleeful as ever, intermittently shoving gobs of ice cream into her mouth. It was a wonder her face wasn’t covered in the stuff.

“You’re not going anywhere,” he muttered. “You and Bella are coming with me.”

Suddenly, the bitter chill from outside rushed into the restaurant, causing Lila to shiver.

“What are you doing, Darius?” she asked, feeling dizzy from overwhelming fear. “You can’t keep us here. What are you going to do, kidnap us?”

“Bingo.”

Lila started to rise from the table.

“No, sit back down,” he ordered. “I have a gun pointed right at you, so do as I say.”

She slumped back into the chair, her eyes darting to the restaurant staff.

They had no clue what was happening.

“Forget it, Lila. I swear to God I’ll kill you. I’m not joking.”

She stared at him; then she slowly glanced under the table.

Indeed, he held a pistol in his hand, aiming right at her.

“Okay; fine. Just don’t hurt Bella. What do you want me to do?”

The room seemed to spin around her, as though she were drunk. She felt faint.

This isn’t happening; this can’t be happening! Darius, what the hell is wrong with you?!

‘I can’t handle losing another woman’, he’d said. As it turned out, that woman was Lila.

  1. OMG, I just choked on my lasagne lol, what the hell is wrong with Darius. I think he could do with some mental help. Hopefully he won’t hurt Lila and Bella.

Awwwwww Bella is soooo cute, she looks just like her daddy, what with her gorgeous blue eyes and blonde hair 🙂

I smiled so big when Nick proposed, Lila has been waiting so long for this and now it’s finally happening Darius is going to ruin it. I just love the faces sims pull when they are excited about being proposed to 🙂

Looking forward to the next chapter, argh the suspense……….

    • LOL, that’s hilarious! I do that too, sometimes eat while reading blogs, lol. Anyhow, hehe, I think Darius sorta snapped. 😛 I def think he could use some mental help! Maybe he and Lexy are cut from the same cloth…

Thanks!! Yeah, I thought she was cute too. ^_^ Oh, of course I had to give her Nick’s hair. 🙂 I can’t wait till the later chapters, when I’ll give her MORE hair. Got some nice downloads!

I knew you’d like Nick’s proposal. I really enjoyed making that part. LOL, maybe Darius won’t ruin it… I hear you about the Sims’ facial expressions! I love those too, it’s so awesome, and then how they hug. I love it. They really did a great job on the Sims 3. 😀 (despite all its bugs/glitches)

Sorry about that! lol, it won’t be long until the next chap is up! 😀

      • I take it she had Lila’s hair colour then?

Thanks Kim! I’ll check that out. 😀 As for chapter 42, it’s about half-way finished, but will be a little shorter than usual. 🙂

  2. o.o I think part of me just died! Why Darius why? *sniffles*
On the other hand, I’m glad Nick and Lila will ‘hopefully’ get the wedding they deserve, you can see how in love they both are, and what can I say about Bella? Words don’t describe her cuteness 🙂

    • lol, Darius went batshit crazy.

Yeah, Bella is a cutie. I got lucky with that, haha. Sometimes toddlers aren’t… too cute on Sims 3 😛

Thanks again for commenting! Maybe Nick and Lila’s upcoming wedding won’t be ruined! 😉
